Project Overview
Butier provided project management and inspection services to oversee and coordinate the work effort associated with the removal and replacement of 128 Reverse Osmosis Pressure Vessels (8-inch vessels) from Train #1 of the reverse osmosis treatment process area. The scope of work also included installing new headers, reconnecting the entire train pipe connections found in Train #1 at the Claude "Bud" Lewis Carlsbad Desalination Plant (CDP), as well as commissioning and startup of the train. The duration of the refurbishment project was approximately three (3) months. The CDP needed to remain operational during all stages of the work to ensure that the overall operational efficiency and ability to meet its regulatory compliance standards were not impacted.
