West Basin Microfiltration Equalization Tank

Butier Engineering, Inc., provided construction management and inspection services for the Microfiltration Equalization Tank. The project was awarded as Task Order No. 1 under the West Basin Municipal Water District’s As-Needed Construction Management Services Contract for Water Facility Capital Improvement Projects.

Scope of Work

• Installation of a 6,000 gallon fiberglass tank that neutralizes the cleaning in place (CIP) waste neutralization released from microfiltration phases II, III, and IV and discharge to the on-site sewer collection system
• One submersible pump for recirculation
• One submersible pump for neutralized discharge to the sanitary sewer
• Related pipe, valves, control, and electrical work
