Butier Awarded Phase IV of the Reservoir Management Systems Replacement Program for Moulton Niguel Water District

Moulton Niguel Water District selected Butier Engineering, Inc. (Butier) to provide construction management and inspection services for Phase IV of the Reservoir Management Systems (RMS) Replacement Program. This phase includes replacing the existing on-site generation (OSG) systems at four (4) RMS sites in Mission Viejo and Laguna Niguel. The systems will be replaced with 12.5% bulk sodium hypochlorite or new OSG and ammonia systems. The RMS Replacement Program will help maintain consistent disinfection levels in the District’s potable water distribution system.

Additional scope of work items will include all equipment, new ammonia systems, connected piping, foundations, containment and separation of chemicals, block buildings, electrical, instrumentation, HVAC, shower/eyewash stations, and site modifications and improvements. The new major equipment will include bulk chemical tanks, metering pumps, reservoir mixers, instrumentation, and PLCs that will interface with the District’s central SCADA system.

Butier looks forward to partnering with Moulton Niguel Water District, Brown & Caldwell (Design Engineer), Pacific Hydrotech (General Contractor), Ninyo & Moore (Materials Testing & Geotechnical), and On-Site Technical Services, Inc.
