Butier Awarded the City of Santa Ana PFAS Treatment at John Garthe Reservoir

Butier Engineering, Inc. is proud to partner with the Orange County Water District and the City of Santa Ana to provide construction management and inspection services for the City of Santa Ana PFAS Treatment at John Garthe Reservoir. This project is a shared commitment to deliver clean, safe, and reliable drinking water to the Santa Ana community.

Key project elements include:

  • PFAS Treatment System—Installation of three multi-filter pre-treatment vessels and 12 ion exchange pressure vessels.
  • Wells 18 & 36 Improvements—New well pumps, motors, pump drives, piping, and appurtenances. Construction of a new CMU building for Well 18.
  • Well 39 Improvements—New well pump, motor, pump drive, piping, and hydrogenerator.
  • Site Improvements—New sand separator at Well 32, sodium hypochlorite generation system, upgraded pumps, tanks, and valves, and screen wall, landscaping, and drainage
