Peters Canyon Channel and Moffett Drive Bridge Construction

Butier was contracted to provide project management, construction management and inspection services for the Peters Canyon Channel and Moffett Drive Bridge Construction Project. Construction of the bridge includes removing the existing bridge; constructing a single span cast-in-place concrete box girder bridge 108 feet in length and 73.25 feet in width; installing an architectural steel arch on each side; and construction of barriers, sidewalks, wing-walls, foundation, railings, structure excavation, backfill, drainage, and bridge lighting.

Construction activities within Peters Canyon Channel include demolition, widening, and relining 5,000 feet of the existing channel and construction of new storm drain lines, extension of existing storm drain lines, and road undercrossings.

Butier staff is coordinating with several stakeholders, including the City of Irvine, Irvine Ranch Water District, Orange County Flood Control District, Southern California Gas Co., and Southern California Edison.
