City of Tustin PFAS Treatment System and Influent Conveyance Project

Butier Engineering, Inc.—in collaboration with Orange County Water District (OCWD) and the City of Tustin—is providing construction management and field QA/QC services for this critical water treatment project. Portions of Tustin’s groundwater supply have been impacted by per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) that are prevalent in the environment and commonly used in various consumer, commercial, and industrial products. OCWD and the City of Tustin are working together to implement a new treatment system at the existing Main Street Water Treatment Plant to eliminate these compounds and continue to provide safe and reliable drinking water supplies to the Tustin customers. Standalone Intake Modifications Project Reaches Significant Milestone

 

Butier Engineering, Inc. is providing construction management services for the $182-million Standalone Intake Modifications Project, the final phase of intake modifications for the Claude “Bud” Lewis Carlsbad Desalination Plant. Faces of Butier – Dustin Morton

Please meet Butier’s Field Engineer/Inspector Dustin Morton, CCM. Dustin joined the Butier family over 10 years ago, and he continues to develop his professional skills with the support of Butier and guidance from his mentor Joe Blum. His recent water/wastewater project experience includes Moulton Niguel Water District’s Reservoir Management Systems Replacement Phase IV, Mesa Water District’s SCADA Control Room and Wet Lab Upgrade, and various projects for East Orange County Water District.  Dustin provides our clients with invaluable field engineering and inspection services and embodies Butier’s spirit of “Experience, Integrity, and Excellence.”

Murphy Reservoir Replacement Reaches Significant Milestone

The City of Whittier’s Murphy Reservoir Replacement Project has reached a significant milestone. Please take a moment to watch the highlight reel to see how the concrete walls were formed for the new reservoir. To meet the water storage deficiency within the existing limited space, the aging twin 0.5 MG concrete reservoirs were demolished and are being replaced with a single 2.31 MG reservoir. The larger reservoir will meet the City’s operational, fire, and emergency storage requirements. Butier Engineering is partnering with the City of Whittier, Gateway Pacific Contractors, INC., Cannon, and Ninyo & Moore on this essential project. Our construction management team includes Stephen White, P.E., Bart Crawford, Bryan Wilson, and Acxel Gutierrez.

City of Santa Ana Celebrates Completion of the New San Lorenzo Sewage Lift Station

Congratulations to the City of Santa Ana Public Works Agency for the completion of the San Lorenzo Sewage Lift Station Project! Butier Engineering was honored to celebrate the recent ribbon-cutting ceremony with Mayor Valerie Amezcua, Councilmembers Phil Bacerra and David Penaloza, Interim City Manager Tom Hatch, Public Works Executive Director Nabil Saba, and other City staff and community members.

Thank you to the City’s leadership and engineering and water resources staff members for bringing this project to fruition. Consultant team members included Tetra Tech (Designer), Griffith Company (Contractor), and Butier Engineering (Construction Manager).

 

City of Chino Hills’ 1,2,3-TCP Project Reaches Significant Milestone

The City of Chino Hills 1,2,3-Tricholoropropane Removal Treatment Plant Project reached a significant milestone. Take a moment to watch the reel to see how the project team successfully installed 10 granular activated carbon (GAC) vessels in a single day! Butier Engineering’s construction management team, including Billy StewartKeith Stiles, and Katie Squires, is partnering with the City of Chino HillsGarney Construction, and Hazen and Sawyer on this essential project. Once completed, the treatment plant will provide nearly 3 million gallons/day of additional clean water to Chino Hills residents.
